Disaster relief in an urban setting: the aftermath of Albania's largest earthquake in 30 years  Following the 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Albania on 26th November 2019, Suzie Cooper, Structural Engineer at Elliott Wood, was deployed as part of a team of SARAID engineers to provide disaster response assistance to the Albanian Government.

In this breakfast talk, Suzie will share insights into her work alongside the Albanian engineers in undertaking structural assessments, inspections and sharing advice on the damage encountered.

SARAID is British Charity dedicated to trying to save the lives of innocent victims of disaster, as well as relieving human suffering around the world regardless of colour, creed, religion and political persuasion. SARAID is entirely staffed by volunteers and relies solely on donations to fund these deployments.
